Biography

Antonio Manfredi was born in Casoria – Naples
Artist (Sculptor, painter,  photographer, video artist, jewelry designer), Art Director of CAM Museum in Naples, Italy, President of International Contemporary Art Center in Casoria, Italy and member-director for Italy of the AIEMS (International Association of Monumental Sculptures Events).
He exhibited his works in the most important cities worldwide.
He is been doing more than 300 collective and personal exhibitions. His monumental works in marble, iron and wood are present in China, Korea, Japan, Egypt, Europe, Russia and US.
In 2007 he was chosen by the Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs to realize a sculpture commemorating the Italian-American victims of the Twin Towers slaughter in New York. He works with prestigious private galleries in Italy and overseas exposing him painting, photographs and video art in several museums for contemporary art and participates to all the most important international Art Symposium.
As curator he realized several international exhibition projects in cooperation with important international public and private bodies, especially discovering and selecting artists around the world for the permanent collection of CAM_ Contemporary Art Museum in Casoria, Naples that he founded and directed since 2004.
He has been invited to exhibit in solo exhibition in important public spaces:
in 1996 in the Ethnographic Russian Museum of Saint Petersburg in Russia for a solo-exhibition,
in 1998 personal exhibition at the Gersheim Kultur Museum, Saarbrücken in Germany
in 2000 in the Vatican City to exhibit him artworks for the Jubilee 2000 and in the same year for a solo exhibition in the Royal Palace of Caserta,
in 2002 in the Contemporary Art Museum Casina Pompeiana of Naples for a solo-exhibition,
in 2006 in the Contemporary Art Gorenjski Muzej, Kranji, Slovenija,
in 2011 he was invited as artist in the 54° Venice Biennale with the installation “Maybe”,
in 2012 he was invited as artist in dOCUMENTA(13) Kassel, Germany with a photo-video installation entitled “Ashes” and in the same year he was invited for a solo-exhibition in the NI National Gallery of Macedonia in Skopje,
in 2014 he was invited as special guest artist in Salon d’Automne de Paris.
His works are permanently in the Galleria Fabbrica Eos in Milan, Galleria Beukers in Rotterdam, Diagonal Arte in Barcelona, Galerie Art Actuel by Liege.

Antonio Manfredi è nato a Casoria, Napoli
Artista (Scultore, pittore,  fotografo, video artista, jewelry designer), Art Director del Museo CAM a Napoli, Italia, Presidente dell’International Contemporary Art Center in Casoria, Italia e membro-direttore per l’Italia di AIEMS (International Association of Monumental Sculptures Events);
Ha esposto le sue opere nelle più importanti città del mondo. Ha al suo attivo più di 300 tra personali e collettive. Sue opere monumentali in marmo, ferro e legno sono presenti in Cina, Corea, Giappone, Egitto, Europa, Russia e Stati Uniti.
Nel 2007 ha realizzato per conto del Ministero degli Affari esteri una scultura per commemorare le vittime italo-americane delle Twin Towers a New York. Lavora con prestigiose gallerie private in Italia e all’estero, ha esposto in diversi musei di arte contemporanea e partecipa a tutti i più importanti Simposi internazionali d’arte. Come curatore ha realizzato diversi progetti espositivi internazionali in collaborazione con importanti istituzioni internazionali pubbliche e private.
Nel 2004 ha fondato e dirige come Art Director il CAM_Contemporary Art Museum a Casoria, Napoli.
Ha esposto in mostre personali in importanti spazi pubblici:
nel 1996 personale nell’Ethnographic Russian Museum di San Pietroburgo in Russia,
nel 1998 personale nel Gersheim Kultur Museum, Saarbrücken in Germania
nel 2000 è stato invitato nella Città del Vaticano ad esporre le sue opere in occasione del Giubileo 2000 e nello stesso anno per una grande personale nelle sale e nei giardini della Reggia di Caserta,
nel 2002 in una personale nella Galleria Pubblica di Arte Contemporanea Casina Pompeiana di Napoli,
nel 2006 in una personale nel Contemporary Art Gorenjski Muzej di Kranji in Slovenia,
nel 2011 è stato invitato come artista alla 54° Biennale di Venezia con l’installazione dal titolo “Maybe”,
