Metallic chromatic sculptures

At the basis of the quest of the installation-sculptures by Antonio Manfredi is the need of a mental cleanness and a formal clearness, o fan analysis of the space of the image and of the imaginary. The formal inquiry made by the artists and his operative proposals, both in the chromatic research and in the installation expansion, look to analyze the existence of spaces, the possibility of invading with volumes and matter (iron, marble, Plexiglas and plastic layer) the thought silences. As if resting or waiting, the geometrical shapes talk to the glance and lead to inner reflection. Sculpture, rigid and cold element, becomes in Antonio Manfredi work, expression of wide ductility and interpretation skills.

Alla base della ricerca delle sculture-installazioni di Antonio Manfredi c’è l’esigenza di una pulizia mentale e di un nitore formale, di un’analisi dello spazio dell’immagine e dell’immaginario. L’indagine formale compiuta dall’artista e le sue proposte operative, tanto di ricerca cromatica quanto di espansione installativa, mirano ad analizzare l’esistenza di spazi, la possibilità di invadere con volumi e materia (ferro, marmo, plexiglas e laminato plastico) i silenzi del pensiero. Come in riposo o in attesa le forme geometriche parlano allo sguardo e conducono alla riflessione interiore. La scultura, elemento rigido e freddo, diventa, nel lavoro di Antonio Manfredi, espressione di enorme duttilità e di grande capacità interpretativa.
